So the doggie version of Thor is willing to wear the helmet, but not the humanoid? Eh, dog's probably a better actor too...

I actually dont think Coulson is dead. Fury lied about more than just the cards.

Except we saw him stop breathing. He's dead. Not that Stark can't put his brain into a robot body that happens to be have neat color scheme, high collar and a cape. Peace, Chip

I do not want Stark to be the driver behind The Vision. Introduce Hank creating Ultron and asking for help. No problem. Then bring on the Vision.

The term Life Model Decoy was used in the flick, so they could go that route.

One little thing that bothered me about this ...
When Coulson says it wouldn't have worked any other way, because they needed something to avenge.
Him?
Is he actually saying that his death will be what makes the Avengers take the name to heart? Not all the other people who were killed? Just him?
I really did think that was weird. I though it was even weirder that it actually seems to have worked.

I thought it was fine. He's been well established in the shared universe, especially in Thor and IM2, and seemed well liked by most of the team. Even after the awkward spot with Cap.

I thought that just boosted it as the Cap/Coulson scenes were great! He'd already have a relationship with CLint and Natasha so Banner is the only one that he wasn't really established with.

Easily solved. Hank and Janet work for Stark in IM3. Peace, Chip

My God that was awesome. WB will never make anything like that. Indeed! I've been an Avengers bitch since 1976 (though I've never been crazy about Bendis's Avengers) -- and my expectations were actually low for the film. I loved Iron Man, liked Iron Man II, Thor and Hulk (Norton version) and thought Captain America was okay. But I didn't like that the team was shaping up to be the Ultimates (an awesome comic book long ago when it was Millar and Hitch). But thankfully, this Avengers was comprised of heroes and not the asshats who live in the Ultimateverse.

Yep. I prefer no Vision to one that is created by Stark. I don't need the android Human Torch connection, but I do need Pym and Ultron involved.
