What I'd like to see is a commitment to start getting out those characters that plug holes in teams. Why can't each wave have a member of Alpha Flight or the Inhumans?
We can complain about DCUC not completing teams, but Marvel Legends doesn't even try to build them. Sorry, but any affection I once had for this line has long since dissipated.

The X-Men and Avengers have had a decent run. You could put together any of the 'b-list' teams like The Defenders or The Champions. The Sinister Six is there.
Where things fall down are The New Mutants, Alpha Flight, Inhumans, Frightful Four, Guardians of the Galaxy....
....okay, now you mention it.
So for me, I'd like
X-Force
Complete the original line-up with Boom Boom, Shatterstar, Feral
Alpha Flight
Complete the original line-up with Aurora, Northstar, Shaman, Snowbird. Throw in Puck and Marrina for good measure.

Alpha Flight always gets a mention as a team they'd like to complete but it just never seems to happen.

I thought the first Psylocke was fine in the grand scheme of things, and the HML FF Doom is one of my favorite MLs.
Come on dude....that Psylocke came with exactly NOTHING. How they could not even include the fist is pretty outrageous. Never mind her cave man forehead....
And you're far from alone with those feelings about that Doom, which has always baffled me. Usually, when a figure is this well liked, it is undeniably good....like DCUC Deathstroke, or Deadshot, or Owlman, etc. But that Doom, to me looks like exactly what it is.....a cheap ass piece of plastic. Doom wears metal...but you'd never know it from that figure. And the stupid as cape makes displaying it completely uninteresting. So, someone has to tell me....what am I missing?

Here's my deal with re-use. I'm fine with it when character choice dictates the re-use. "We really need to get Polaris into this next wave. What's avaliable that we can re-use?"
What I'm not fine with is when re-use drives character choice. "Hey, are there any other female chracters that have zippers up the front so that we can re-use that female SHEILD body? Madame Masque and Madame Hydra? SOLD! We'll get to Polaris, FA Storm, Medusa, Crystal, Songbird, Aurora, Snowbird, Photon, Jubilee, Mockingbird, Hellcat, and all the rest eventually. This line is going to last for YEARS!
A little too soon for this. Gotta give them a little more time.

Yes, scale issues and a few shortcuts aside (like not giving Thunderball the correct boots or Piledriver bare forarms/fists), most of what we've gotten so far looks fine. However, it's not accomplishing a whole hell of a lot in terms of filling in the holes in our collections or finishing teams which is what we keep telling these jackass companies over and over again.
I would rather Piledriver had the gloves, which is NOT inacurate, then not get him at all. It would be asking an awful lot of a variant for new arms...ya know?

Ironically, I don't have a problem with that. I think they've done a nice job in terms of leveraging the "A-List" characters. Thor, Bucky Cap, and FF Spidey are arguably the three best figures they've done over the past two waves. It's the B-List and C-List character choices I have an issue with.
I just don't consider this a "Return" of Marvel Legends at all. It's more like a return of the old Toy Biz Marvel Universe 5" and 10" business model from the 90s.
But...there are MORE A-Listers. 2 Iron Mans in three waves? And a left over from another line IM no less? Thats cheap.

I think Champions was a complete fluke -- and not part of any grand plan. The original Sinister Six are Spider-Man's biggest rogues -- more than a team, but I guess a team is a team.
They, at least, did produce Valkyrie (as sad as that figure was), but long-time Defenders members Nighthawk and Hellcat are nowhere in sight.
The lack of Alpha Flight members is especially sad being that Sasquatch came out years ago, and it's even been a few years since Guardian was released.

He's supposed to have bare hands which are oversized ... but considering how big they are already,
oversized
would be ridiculous. Yeah, the gloves are fine. And while I don't think the wrecking ball is an appropriate accessory, if he hadn't come with anything I'd probably complain.

I gave this some more thought and gotta hand it to you, I'm now depressed. I was thinking about villains and you'd be hard pressed to even make up a Masters of Evil incarnation. There's enough figures to make one, but not one that appeared together.
Crap.

Yeah. I saw the bluebird of happiness the other day - or what was left of it after my cat ate it.

Saw a lone Thunderball today at TRU.
He looked...far too big. Nice figure by itself, though.
Also, first time I've ever gone into TRU to specifically NOT look at toys.
Peace,
