Wasn't that awesome? These runner guys really wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Phoenix Sanchez was great, too. That's how I would be on the medal stand- a blubbery mess. He and I are about the same age, I think that has a little to do with it.

it always seem like the gymnast have their spirits sucked out. they have to be so stoic and blank faced during routines, they lose the ability to smile. They seem to come off as this is what I've trained to do, no reason to be surprised or excited when I do it well. Very much like the russians and east germans in the 70s and 80s.

When they talk to Bob Costas, the answers to the questions (and all they do is answer questions) always sound like they're reciting them from a script they memorized. They are completely amazing to watch, but there's plenty about the process to be put off by. A 15 year old winning a Medal, what can it mean to a person that age?
Felix, on the other hand...that guy knows what time it is.

The Ukrainian ladies' synchronized swimmers played tonsil-tag at the end of their routine, some gal got her suit pulled down during a water polo match, and the parade of sweet, sweet asses that is women's beach volleyball keeps on delivering. I never realized it until I got it, but the Olympics always needed more smut. Fuck yeah.  |

I wasn't sure I would be able to do it again. I made a point to work a lot less blue than I did before, and try to keep it a bit more focused. I think it worked!
