It's going to be pretty sad if this line ends one day without a Ram Man considering the amount of shit they're wasting tooling dollars on.

So far they've done this with every other line they've produced.  The only thing I think in MOTUs favor is the limited (read: comparatively small) amount of characters that make up the whole universe.  This is the only place they could get away with it.

Peace,

Chip

So exactly what is considered "classic"?  Is it characters from the original toy line and the original cartoon?  Is the She-Ra cartoon included?

That's how I see it, although a bit iffy on She-Ra.  The 'toons were connected to help launch the She-Ra show, so yeah.  She's classic.

I think the official stance on it is something along the lines of: characters in their most recognizable look done as if they had been produced in the 1980's vintage Masters of the Universe line.  This includes characters from all parts of the Masters history: vintage, She-Ra spin off, New Adventures revamp, 200X relaunch, mini-comic, Filmation, prototype and concept characters.  She-Ra is definitly classic!  Saying she is not feels like saying only the original 7 are the only characters that could be included in a JLA classic line.

Ha! I like crazy shit like this!  But I'm some one that would love to get all the Fuerza-T characters released in the MOTUC line too.

One of my favorite things about MOTUC is that I don't want all of them.

DC Comics PRINCE ADAM, SEA HAWK, a few oddities like maybe DEKKER and a 200X PALACE GUARD, and I'm out!

Vykron is lame--it should have been Modulok.  See this kid of dicking around with a line is what is frustrating.  Finish up the fucking vintage factions--Mekanek, Ram Man, jitsu, Two Bad, Mantenna, Scorpia, Filmation Hordak and Skeletor, Glimmer, Mermista, Castapella etc so we don't have holes then in the last waning years of the toyline's life they can push out all the concept or NA characters they want.

Same applies to DCUC--finish up the damn teams they started in the CIE and stop wasting slots on crap like Rocket Red and use the retail line to delve into classic SupBats characters and leave the nu52 and Flashpoint stuff alone--if they miraculously are able to keep the line going and they have exhausted everything then start including dark Supergirl nu52 looks.

Now that I would've bought.

They can keep whatever that exclusive is supposed to be. It's going to be pretty sad if this line ends one day without a Ram Man considering the amount of shit they're wasting tooling dollars on.

After listening to an interview with ToyGuru over on He-man.org, he expressed that (hypothetically) if the line were suddenly ended, he would dump all the development available into making Ram Man.  Scott is a fan like us, he wants Ram Man made as much as we do.

Sorry I missed Thursday night's update - I was in DC with my kids on their class trip. Lots of fun, but I really don't recommend 9 hour bus rides...

Tonight I'm back with a look at the new Draego-Man figure from MOTUC, and I gotta say he rocks!  If this is what all the 30th Anniversary figures will be like, I say bring them on - you can find the review at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

It's a great figure, although maybe a little too detailed for the MotUC aesthetic. But then again, fuck that... a great toy is a great toy. My one want would have been for an articulated jaw. Since he's described as a fire-breather, it seems a shame to never be able to pose him like he's, y'know, breathing fire.
