It has recently been confirmed that infamous scammer Matt Mason has once again been active on Fwoosh, AFI, CriticalMess, and other boards, posting here under the name DCSH fan and DC Superfan.

I prefer not to publicly ‘call out’ people, but this case is an exception. Everyone needs to be aware that he is back. He has been scamming people for years and is a well-known thief in the toy community.  For those who are unfamiliar with Mason from Kankakee/Bradley, IL, read all these pages:

He has been actively contributing on both boards for many months, and even completed a few successful trades to create a false sense of trust. Many of you thought you ‘knew’ him and he had become a daily contributor in these forums.  It was all a ruse, and he has once again fooled the community.  It’s unfortunate that he has not changed his ways, and has been silently lurking among us for months while owing thousands of dollars and countless items to many people across multiple message boards. He has never made an effort to repay or replace the items he has stolen.

If you have any ongoing trades, be wary. He will likely disappear and come back under a new name and start this all over again, but I at least wanted everyone to know and be aware that he is still around. It's likely he already has backup IDs in place that he has used to post with already.

SUperfly is a known and respected member of the community, and I have no reason to doubt him.  That being said, it's hard for me to take action or tear into a guy without knowing more of what he knows.  It's not outside the realm of possibilities (at least from what has been revealed here) that a mistake has been made.  

Fly, is there anyway you can PM a little more info?

Honestly, I'd contact the USPS's mail fraud division, and give 'em this guy's address, email, and any other info. He's not gonna stop until he feels the crunch. And the pressure of his lies coming down around him.

hopefully, it'll be enough to get him to start giving people their shit back (if he's still got it), and if not, then at least monetary compensation.

I'd hate to see him go to jail over it, but the way I see it, if you're gonna rip someone off, and think you're untouchable because you're far away, I say that those who got fucked over, should go for the fucking jugular.

On a totally weird 1 in a million coincidince, this guy lives in my hometown. I went to Kankakee High School (class of '88. If you weren't alive then, please be nice and don't point it out), alot of my friends lived in Bradley and my parents still live in that local area today.

Unfortunately having left town 20 years ago (there's not much to reccomend it) my local mafia contacts have dried up, so I won't be able to arrange knee-cappings or anything IF of course this is actually him as I agree with measle we're best to proceed with caution and not start a witch hunt.

Gotta say, tho, DCSH Fan, the circumstantial evidence doesn't look too hot.

Everybody here and at the Doosh is pretty tight-knit.

we refer to each other by our first names, etc. and we know where everybody's from.

we're small enough still that this sort of thing likely won't fly, or if it already has, it won't fly for long.

I know I have a reputation for being slow to send shit, but I also know that I have a reputation of actually fulfilling my end of the bargain.

I know exactly who I owe, and exactly what I owe to them.

I bet this guy has been doing this so long he can't even remember who sent him what, let alone what he owes them (Since he has no intent of 'owing' them anything).

I can alreadty tell by this crowd that it doesn't matter or anybody else[but especially you guys]. I will never be able to escape that person or things that happened in the past. People don't give a shit,everyone has a sob story. If I get banned it's no big deal, if someone wants to hunt me down ,people have my address you can find me. I just though maybe it was time to stop lying. tell you guys the truth. There are alot of people I respect here and felt if I was going to tell people I would rather tell you guys. Well, beings that this is the first you came clean, you can't really fault people for going apeshit. 

My advice is that if you wan't to get back into people's good graces, you're going to have to earn their respect.  You're going to have to expect to eat some shit.  ANyone can claim to be anything on the internet, even a heroin addict, you're going to have to prove you're not an ass over time.  If you do remember some of the people you ripped off, when you're able to, make restitution of some kind.
