One word sums up this game.  Fun.  Alright two words Fun and Funny.  The game and dialog were written by the writers of the TV show, so the wit is ever present.  The games is really the first time I'd say that it really looks like you're playing a cartoon.  Every once is awhile you can see a little jagged line here or there, but for the most part it looks great.  The gameplay can be a bit repetitive, and if you take too long exploring the level, the quips can get a bit repetitive too.  The Simspon's Game is available on the PS-3, X-box 360, the Wii, PS-2 and the handheld PSP and DS.  I'd imagine you'd trade a little of the eye-candy for gameplay with the Wii, and I'm not sure how it looks on the PS-2.  It's not a killer app, meaning you wouldn't buy a console just to play this game, but if you already have one of the above platforms, it's definitely worth it, especially if you're a Simpson fan.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10, if you're a hardcore Simspons fan then it'd be 8.

I dug it. I'll give it nine. Keeping it short and simple: I found that the gameplay is pretty varied due to the differing backdrops and four available player characters, there's enough in-jokes, and it's genuinely funny. There's a couple of cameos later on in the game which were brilliant. It's all fun on a bun, but the Medal of Honour parody was the best level by far. Bart is the best to play, followed by Lisa, in my opinion. Best game of 2007, by a long way.

Scale issues? What scale issues?

Wow.  Maybe my tastes are way off.  I thought it was horrible.  Now - I played it on the ps2 - haven't seen it for rent on Wii yet - might give that a shot if I do.

My issues were mostly with the camera perspectives.  In some games, being able to look all over the place is great.  In this one, it totally ruined the game IMO.   Another thing I found off was the lack of intuitive controls.  Bart's slingshot was difficult to figure out how to use.  It seemed like I was able to make him shoot it when I was pressing random buttons, but not when I was actually trying to make the damn thing work.  I think I played for about 30 minutes (both by myself and in co-op mode with my wife) and ended up shutting it off.

I agree about the spotty camera, it would have ruined a more serious third person game, but for some reason it didn't bother me enough in this one to ruin it for me.

The controls scheme didn't seem to overly cumbersome to me.  Reideen, if you decide to play further you may appreciate it more, it parodies several noteworthy videogames to good effect.

I was cool with the slingshot once I worked out what the target button was, but I also agree about the camera - and the pain-in-the-ass aspect whenever we went split screen. I wasn't overly thrilled with that split-screen thing, although I see how it was necessary.
