We would love for you to sign up and join the community.  Seriously.

We have people here that dig action figures across many brands-- from GI Joe to MOTU to Legends and back.  But I daresay DC stuff is our specialty.

Yeah, we can be a rough crowd at times.  We swear like sailors.  But we love DC Comics and we love action figures and toys.   We're not a bunch of geezers pining for the Golden Age, but we do have those folks too.  (Cue some bastard starting a "Dr. Occult is LONG OVERDUE" thread.)

We have people like degra and JQ who love the cartoons of many eras and defend them to their dying breath.

We have guys like JSayonara who made me rethink much of the 90s.

We now have Jersey who is mainly angry.  Take him with a grain of salt.

And that's just the tiniest sampling.

We've got guys that love every era of DC... From the Golden to Silver to Bronze, from Pre-Crisis to Post-Crisis, from the Modern Era to the pulps.

We even have a couple of nu 52 fans, but they're in hiding.

If you're from another board, or are a toy professional (I know at least one that reads us but is scared to post), use some gag name.  Mike Hunt.  Buster Hymen.  Fuck, one dude signed up as Superman and posted the most condescending shit ever.  The irony was not lost on me.

Knowing DC inside and out is not a pre-requisite.  Shit, we have blowhards here that are more than happy to tell you what Roy Thomas had for breakfast, or who the Gas Gang and the Dingbats of Danger Street are.

Plus, the more people that sign up, the more I promise to post gag photos involving action figures.  Shit like this:



If you're somebody we feuded with, we're willing to let bygones be bygones as long as you're not Matt Mason the thief.

Or if you have an open beef, take it to our Rumble thread for members and slug it out verbally.

Now, if you're reading these threads and are as aghast as Mother Teresa at the Adult Video Awards, then I concede, maybe we're not for you.  Go back to the AFI boards where it's safe (I kid, Julius, I kid!  Love ya, Dan!)

If anyone is afraid of joining, let me be an example of someone who wasn't sure if they would like it here, it can be intimidating at first, mostly because everyone disagrees with each other and busts each other's balls nonstop.  But you just suck it up and when someone punches you, you punch back, it's not that we don't like each other, it's just that the Mess allows you to unleash your dick on everyone Grin

Maybe I'm off, but am I the only one amused by Jersey's posts half the time?  I really don't take them so seriously.

I mean over the past few days, he's basically posted things like:

Civilian figures are GARBAGE!

Toyguru is a cheap fuckface!

None of which means that Mattel takes his opinion as gospel, or that he's right.  Shit, I just made my case as to why I thought Warlord was a vital part of a DCU line and Jersey was cool about it.  I can't MAKE the dude like Warlord, but I can make my case as to why I dig the character.

I swear, half the time when he posts something like "That classic Mr. Terrific is AWFUL! He looks like a retarded Christmas Tree."  I really don't take it all that seriously.

Or maybe I'm just not reading the posts some of you guys are bristling at.

I post what I feel.  Just like we all should do.  No point in sugar coating it. 

I've started some of the best arguements in toy forum history.  Won some, lost some.....but all were good and worth it. 

People only remember the "hate", because whenever they make something that blows, theres always some yam bag whos gotta think its great.  And shitty stuff pisses me off so much, that I go overboard a bit sometimes. 

Except Rocket Red......I think we can all hate that together.
