Black Freighter Watchmen Sub thread (Nite Owl p. 4)

Let me start by saying fuck the FWOOSH.
Not all FWOOSHERS mind you, just the ones crying for movie style figs from Mattel, or wanting to mix and match movie and comic because they don't like the comic Nite Owl costume. And fuck the FWOOSHERS who say "movie style in 2014! Fuck the movie. This is a comic line. Stop being paralyzed invalids and go buy the goddamn movie line of 6 inch action figures that was out five minutes ago. Oh, I forgot, Mattel didn't sprinkle it's magic semen on those 6 inch DCD movie figs.
And fuck all you FWOOSHERS for not once mentioning the Minutemen. Seriously. Fuck you.
As if I needed proof that it's really a Marvel Legends board, the second Hasbro announced Hit Monkey, She Rulk, and the Protector, it became a massive circle jerk for their true love and the 2013 Infinite Earths Thread has 3 fucking pages.
Oh, and for the guy who screamed he only wanted Wally West Flash and he can't think of anything else From DC he wants, I hope Negan runs a train on you, and then finishes you off with Lucille. Metaphorically, of course.
And to Hagop, for being so douchey as to declare that Speedy is the one character they need to make to really complete the line, you're fucking kidding right? Based on... The fact you really, really like Speedy?
Anyway, there are many decent FWOOSHERS like Fat Sal, but the retards with bad taste still drown out the interesting posts half the time.
Anyway, I haven't said much about the WATCHMEN sub... I think Doc Manhattan looks like poo and is owned by the DCD version.
However, Rorschach in those comic colors is the shit.
I'm going to post some comparison pics later between the DCD movie stuff and the MATTEL comic stuff.

Reading the DCnU is like trying to shit a brick. It's agonizing. While I'm one of the few people around here who thought there might be some actual merit in a relaunch, the execution has been just that, an execution.

And yeah, totally fuck the Fwoosh, I was amazed by how little they bothered with DCUC.
And Speedy?

I was reading that Fwoosh Watchmen thread thinking the same thing last night. 'Should've been movie based'...sheesh.

Now that I've slept on it, why wouldn't I get this sub? At the end of the first year, one will have a complete team, in scale with everything else. It'll look great on the shelf. Ultimately, isn't that what we were always asking for from DCD-- comic-accurate, in-scale, complete?
My question is if they could possibly manage to get a second year out of it, because that would really set it apart from the pack: GA Comedian, Hollis Mason, Sally Jupiter, Hooded Justice, Capt. Metropolis, oversized Doc Manhattan, Bubastis (which might come with Ozy anyway), Seymour at New Frontiersman office, maybe the newsstand with kid and paper-seller-- anything else?

Too much scratch for me.
$25
each plus shipping for a regular sized figure?
That's $35 (£23) a figure.
Even if I
loved
Watchmen, that's ridiculous.
I can see these flying out of Ebay from China for much less too.

How about a shot-in-the chest Dollar Bill and a headless Captain Metropolis with head as an accessory.
I kid, I kid.....

Exactly, worst case scenario we get a full Watchmen comic team. If it goes well maybe we'll get the Minutemen in 2014.
And I wouldn't mind a Moloch.

Only thing that would have got me interested is if Manhatann would have been the naked version. . .and even then I'd prefer the movie version (it was bigger)
