Who?

Also, Rocko, you'll dig this novel.  Trust me.

Clive Arno?

No, sir. That's the old DC backstory for CA. The current owners created their own civilian identity and life for the good captain - Miles Drake - back when Moonstone was publishing the official CA comic books. That's the one the novel will be using. I think DC still owns "Clive Arno."

Regardless, I hope you dig the book. He's still a master of disguise and a globe-trotting action hero. And there a couple of very sly references to his former change-into-licensed-characters days.

I'm genuinely interested in checking this and Jim's other work out soon.

Of course, if he'd accept my apology for being a total dickhead a few months back, that would mean I can pass on my feelings about his stuff (which I'm already expecting to be fun based on what little I do know). But either way, I think I'll check 'em out. Heck, getting "defriended" didn't compell me to stop "liking" his fan page, so why should this matter to me?

The answer is: because I met the man once a long time ago, and he was a genuinely good guy. There's plenty of people I don't care if I piss off (heck, a couple of them are here at da Mess), but it saddens me to know I ticked off someone like Jim.

Anyplace is good, but when its up on a site called IndyPlanet, we supposedly make more. I'm taking a cut in my royalty % because part of it is going to the licensors, which is fair, but overall we hope this book sells well.

Those guys deserve a little cut. If only every such property had champions like those dudes.

I've become kind of a Captain Action collector. I skipped the Playing Mantis stuff at the time, I'm doubling back now and racking up cheap.

Joe and Ed are good people. Its been a pleasure knowing them as friends and now to be working with them is a great feeling all around. I have no quibbles whatsoever with them getting their share.

I bought the PM Green Hornet set at a discount at KayBee back in the day. Its a nice set. Wish I could have found the later set with the redesigned heads to look more like the TV show.

Yeah, I got the Kato and Green Hornet Kay Bee sets recently, I wondered why the individual suits with no figures were going for so much more. Guess that's why, they look like the TV.

I had a Bruce Lee already I subbed for the Kato body, and I've got the new Spider-man on the way. Next up is Lone Ranger and Flash Gordon, I'll have a pretty good display going. Love this stuff.

Do you have the old comics? Surely you do.

Yeppers. Several years ago, I found a set of them, in GREAT condition, at a comic shop in Michigan. No price on them so I asked. The employee hemmed and hawed and then lokked them up and said, "10 bucks?"

That was 10 bucks for all.

I paid and quickly left.
