Simple enough, pick an album, try and post a track and tell us what's good about it.
This site can't just be about Mattel right?

The Eyes of Alice Cooper
Alice is definitely a guy who has his hits and misses.
There's a couple of odd eighties albums, some trend chasing stuff (his new one is...poor).
But this is a bit of a lost classic.
Okay, it's got the Green Day type bits and there's a hint of that My Chemical Romance sound, but there's much more to it than that.
You've got your classic Alice rockers (Man of the Year, Detroit City), a little quirk (The Song That Didn't Rhyme, Between High School and the Old School) and the obligatory Alice ballard (but it's a good 'un).
Class album and one that seems to have been forgotten, coming as it did after his "Garage Rock album and before that his "Nu Metal" period.
Check it out.

Roxy Music's first album, Roxy Music. I'm enjoying the fuck out of this album right now. I'm pretty familiar with their later stuff, but have come to love their earlier sound much more. Brian Eno is a musical mad-man, experimenting with all kinds of sounds and genres, and Bryan Ferry's voice is so raw and full of emotion, it hardly sounds like him at times.
I've also bought For Your Pleasure (their second album and Eno's last with them) and Stranded their third album, but I've not had the chance to dive in as deep with them yet.

Anything he touches is worthwhile--Bowie, U2, Roxy, Byrne. I may not always like it, but I know it means something. It's like reading Voltaire in French--even if I don't get it all, I know it's in there.

I didn't know you were into Roxy, Measle. I'm a big fan, and I also really dig Bryan Ferry. His newest album Olympia is as good as anything he's ever done, with or without Roxy.

Not yet.
Now I have. It's nice, but it lacks the polish of the "real" version. Great song either way. On a Clark tip, The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark is a great disc too.

Ack. That redneck chick puts me off, they're one step too hillybilly for me!
I dig the bluegrass not the country.

I'm trying to abstain from Mojo and the inevitable fight that I feel will resurface as it returns. I would appreciate it if everyone would respect that and not give me any. Thank you.
