My 6yo son LOVES Angry Birds!! as some of you know...

as he's kicking your arses over on FB at it!

The price of the official merch is just plain stupid. I paid £30 for 2 small plastic birds, 3 pigs, a catapult and some bricks the other week just to get lost.

So it became obvious... We must make our own!!

I used Fimo for these, but have moved on to bake and flex Sculpy as it is slightly cheaper.

This makes them hard enough to catapult and knock down the brick structures he creates.

Their sizes range from half a cm to about 2cm.

What I did learn, is next time I'll wash my hands between colours as I was transfering pigment... Tongue

Those are adorable! The prices here aren't much better, but I found some keychains here for not too much and got one for my daughter--three cloisonne-type birds and a piggie.

Nice job, SCB! I have to admit I don't play the game so I presume they're accurate. Very colourful anyway.

What really astounds me though, is that you're willing to make then knowing in advance that they're probably not going to survive very long.... I'm cringing inside already.  laugh

I know you also tear apart your finished customs to make new ones. Your creaivity is pure, untainted by any collecting need (as mine is). angel

Thank you Mr. K!!

Here you go:

They're not doing too bad... I can make a set in a night so if they last a couple of weeks, the sculpy kit was only £7.99, and the joy JD gets from them, as I leave them on top of the fire place for when he comes down stairs in the morning.

He really does appreciate it, I get the sweetest gasp and ''thank you mummy''  Grin

He asked me to make a Zebraman this afternoon. I thought he meant Zebra Batman, but he didn't he means Zebraman!!

That's my boy, carrying on with the morts. laugh

I do... I don't really have a collection of anything. I have the odd prized item, but that's all.

The enjoyment for me is in the making and finding out what works and what doesn't etc...

These are great! And I know, because I've seen these bloody birds so often, they haunt my dreams. Wink
