I'm trying to abstain from Mojo and the inevitable fight that I feel will resurface as it returns. I would appreciate it if everyone would respect that and not give me any. Thank you.

It's been a rough year for talent all around. Authors, actors, singers..... RIP Donna.

The only one I realized I hadn't known about was Greg Ham. I have a poster from Cargo on my basement wall right now. Between him and Yauch, I guess I won't have any oldies shows to attend in the future.

Wow, the list is even bigger than I thought... I know there are quite a few icons said to be in poor health too. Christopher Lee is one that comes to mind...

When I was in high school band, we had an entire Donna Summer halftime show. I think it included Hot Stuff, Bad Girl and On the Radio.
Donna was everywhere then. But I do think her post-disco anthem -- She Works Hard for the Money -- may have been her best song. Hot Stuff and Last Dance would definitely round out her top three.

2012 may not be the actual end of the world, but it is definitely taking enough from it so as to seem like a much shittier place than it was just one year ago.
