I avoided that movie forever because of how much it was trashed. Finally showed up on HBO and it was way fun.

For whatever reason, films like Road to Perdition and A History of Violence do not appear on the lists of DC Comics Adaptations on Box Office Mojo. Which is too bad, because film-wise, they're both better than almost all the films listed above.
Absolutely. Great point.

Wouldn't Stardust be considered a DC movie too?

What, the Neil Gaiman flick? No, that's based off of his novel.

Actually, Stardust was first printed by DC/Vertigo as a "prose" graphic novel with illustrations by Vess, then Gaiman adapted it to non illustrated book form.
Hitchiker's Guide has nothing to do with comics, other than it was adapted by DC (and the novel itself has been adapted into just about every form possible anyway).

I count Stardust, History Of Violence, and Road To Perdition. They were all comic books DC put out.

May as well count Spirit too. Unless something has changed, DC is still the publishing home of the Eisner library.

If Man of Steel makes Thor or Captain America money, do you think we'll see movement towards at least a World's Finest flick?

Not unless they kick Nolan off as the Godfather of the franchise, he has made it very, very clear that we will never see a Superman-Batman interaction on his watch.

Which is an indication to me that there is a clear disconnect from the source material in Nolan's world. Again with the Avengers comparison, but we see clearly that there's enough room in the Marvel movieverse for science, fantasy, real-world intrigue, and humor, while there are hardly any humorous bits in the Nolanbatworld and he's told us that a space orphan and an urban orphan can't share the same world. Well, okay.
