Yeah, the only gay Gorilla sex I can think of was Mallah and the Brain.  And I guess that was technically Gorilla on Robot gay sex.

The lack of a ring doesn't really bother me but the name doesn't work with the vessel of earth magic that is Alan Scott of nU-E2.

Green Bottle would make more sense. Or Green Molotov. That would be sweet.  Kids love Molotov Cocktails. And Alan love cock. So, perfect. Wink

Also wanted to commend Wilmers for posting something positive. I am sure for someone who generally seems to try and be positive some of our bitch fests can be off putting. While I am having a hard time enjoying a lot of this, the way he is looking at it has been what I've tried to do. Whatever came before is pretty much irrelevant. Regardless of whatever bull shit term they tried to use early on, this is a reboot. It has to be viewed as a whole new world.

And I actually just realised that out of the five characters mentioned, Robinson was responsible for "outing" four of them.

What the fuck is it with that guy?
Something he's trying to tell us?

Apparently you didn't read the interview linked previously in this thread where he explains in a very reasonable, thoughtful way as to how he came to this creative choice.

Jay's helmet sucks. Everything else was okay, and would have made for a fun Elseworlds.

yeah they could've put more work into his helmet,it don't look as bad in motion as opposed to him standing around, but not a fan of it.

Just read it, I still think the dialogue could be better but seems like this book could be fun if you're not expecting pre-52 JSA stuff. I'll give it until issue 5 or so. I thought the art was really cool for some reason, and I agree 100% that Jay's costume looks better in the panels than in the cover.

So, Alan's crash was Jay's fault in any way?

Glanced through it today.  Probably pick it up tomorrow based on Wilma's recommendation.

I thought Jay's helmet looked too Qwardian...

It does look better in motion, but I still wish it had some visual element of the Mercury helmet. Especially since that is now the source of his powers.

Gotta be Rex.  Hourgirl doesn't ring true like Hourman.  Besides, mark my words, he'll end up sleeping with Joan.
