Avengers Season 2

Watched the first episode of season two this morning on demand. The fucking intro sucks ass now. They got rid of the snappy song and just have character intros. The story left quite a bit to be desired too. Was hoping for more out of an Avengers/Fantastic Four team-up. Doom was way too powerful.

I was afraid they were going to monkey with what made it successful -- and it looks like that has come to pass. Haven't seen the actual series this season yet -- maybe if reaction is bad -- they'll go back to the original opening.
From what I can see, the one thing I really wanted to see change -- hasn't, and that's Jan's ugly-ass outfit.

That intro is just weird now. Why mess with it? Just let the show stand on it's own and stop trying to tie it to the movie.
Uggh....the whole Thing vs Hulk thing just made it feel like I was watching Superhero Squad.

This. Jan has had quite a few really nice costumes. there was no need to invent one and especially not one that is that fucking ugly.

The weird headgear/hairdo is bad enough.

Well, we don't have to worry about the shitty Wasp design, because Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes has been cancelled -- so that they can bring an animated version of the film to TV.
Won't be watching.

It's disappointing, especially since it seemed like they were building up for a Thanos appearance, but I'll check it out. With the new 'toon having a similar look to the movie, we may not see him until after Avengers 2 hits theaters. I don't mind the focus being on "one and done" episodes, as long as there is still some sort of overarching theme.

I liked the current series -- because it had a lot of classic stuff -- intermixed with new stuff. BUT
this season was definitely leaning towards new -- new Guardians of the Galaxy, disappearance of Doc Samson. Also -- heavily skewed towards the big guns -- a Thor episode introducing Beta Ray Bill. Cool, but not what I want from an AVENGERS series.
Guess I should be happy for what we got.
