they'll probably be surpassed by the hunger games cosplayers.  probably no less than twenty people dressed up as the Greendale Human Being.

The X-Men: First Class Sequel Set for July 18, 2014

by SuperHeroHype

May 31, 2012

20th Century Fox has announced a July 18, 2014 release date for their untitled X-Men: First Class sequel.

Reports from last month indicate that the project is likely to shoot in January of 2013 to avoid scheduling conflicts with star Jennifer Lawrence, who will soon be shooting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She's expected to reprise her role of Mystique alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones and Lucas Till.

The first film, released last year, grossed over $350 million worldwide. Director Matthew Vaughn will return to direct the sequel.

The Avengers to be Shown in Space

by SuperHeroHype

May 31, 2012

While The Avengers has been busy knocking out records left and right on Earth, it's about to take itself to space!

Marvel Studios announced today that they arranged with NASA to transfer their record-breaking blockbuster film Marvel’s The Avengers to NASA’s Mission Control in Houston, which will uplink the film to the International Space Station (ISS), currently orbiting 220 miles above Earth. The film will then be screened for the space station crew’s exclusive enjoyment.

This screening continues Marvel’s collaboration with NASA, which began during principal photography of "The Avengers" when the film shot at the Space Power Facility at NASA’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.

Louis D'Esposito, Marvel Studios' Co-President and Executive Producer of  "The Avengers," says, "The studio is privileged to share 'Marvel’s The Avengers' with those up in space exploring the universe.  A special thanks goes to NASA for utilizing their incredible technology to make this special screening miles above us in space happen.  It is a screening that would make Tony Stark envious.”

If being an astronaut wasn't cool enough, now they get to see "The Avengers" like no one else has before.

New Dates for Thor 2 and The Lone Ranger

by SuperHeroHype

May 31, 2012

Walt Disney Pictures has announced some rescheduling for two of its major 2013 releases. The Lone Ranger will now arrive in theaters on July 3rd instead of May 31st and Thor 2 will hit theaters a week earlier, premiering November 8th instead of November 15th.

The Lone Ranger's new date has it opening opposite Universal Pictures' Despicable Me 2 and the just-announced 3D re-release of 20th Century Fox's Independence Day.

Thor 2's new date puts it up against the One Direction Concert Movie 3D and the move provides a full two-week window before the opening of what will likely be a box office juggernaut in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Prepare for the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Source: ComingSoon

May 31, 2012

20th Century Fox has announced a Memorial Day 2014 release for their upcoming Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, now officially known as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Released last year, Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a box office smash, grossing over $480 million worldwide.

Rupert Wyatt, who directed the original, will return to direct with Scott Z. Burns, Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa providing the screenplay. Returning producers include Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

The May 23rd release falls one week after Marvel Studios' still unrevealed feature and one week before Disney•Pixar's The Good Dinosaur.

Independence Day 3D to Arrive on July 3, 2013

Source: ComingSoon

May 31, 2012

Independence Day is returning to theaters on July 3, 2013 with a full 3D post-conversion, 20th Century Fox revealed today.

The original film, released in 1996, starred Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum and Randy Quaid and was directed by Roland Emmerich with a screenplay by Emmerich and Dean Devlin. A loose re-telling of H.G. Wells' "The War of the Worlds," the sci-fi actioner grossed over $800 million worldwide.

Rumors of a sequel have persisted ever since the original film's release, but over the years, nothing solid has materialized. Still, with Men in Black 3 a box office hit 15 fifteen years after the original, ID4's 3D re-release could potentially also serve as way of gauging viewer interest in a second big screen invasion.

The July 3rd release date puts Independence Day 3D up against Universal Pictures' Despicable Me 2.

New Release Dates for Percy Jackson, Robopocalypse and More

Source: ComingSoon

May 31, 2012

In addition to the just-announced release dates for Independence Day 3D, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the still-untitled X-Men: First Class Sequel, 20th Century Fox has scheduled and rescheduled dates for Steven Spielberg's Robopocalypse, Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Paul Feig's Untitled Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy comedy, the franchise sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and the 3D project, Walking with Dinosaurs.

Robopocalypse, featuring a screenplay by Drew Goddard adapted from Daniel H. Wilson's book, will see a release on April 25, 2014. There are currently no other films being released that day.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, directed by and starring Stiller, will arrive on Christmas Day, 2013. That puts the comedy up against the tentatively-scheduled Ninja Turtles reboot.

The Feig comedy is set for April 5, 2013 and is the first to claim that weekend.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, originally scheduled for March 27th of next year, will now bow on August 16, 2013. It, too, is currently the only film scheduled for that weekend.

Finally, Walking with Dinosaurs, previously set for October 11, 2013, will move two months to December 20th. That's one week after Warner Bros.' The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

Anne Vyalitsyna Joins A Good Day to Die Hard

Source: ComingSoon

May 31, 2012

Model Anne Vyalitsyna, who recently appeared in the "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue, is set to make her acting debut in John Moore's A Good Day to Die Hard, Variety reports.

The fifth entry in the Die Hard franchise puts Bruce Willis' John McClane on an international stage -- truly a NYC fish out of water in Moscow -- and introduces his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney). An apple that has not fallen far from the tree, Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father. Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive – and the world safe for democracy.

Vyalitsyna joins Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir and Cole Hauser in the February 14th, 2013 release.

May 31, 2012

With Prometheus just another week away, it only makes sense that we'd be getting bombarded with things about it. Today, the guys over at Collider have posted this pretty great selection of behind the scenes clips of the flick. If you're trying to stay in a protective bubble and not know anything at all about the film before you watch it, I would advise skipping this until you've seen the film, but this is definitely a video that everyone should watch. Take a peek below.

Games: Warner Bros. Announces New DC Character Fighting Game

by SuperHeroHype

May 31, 2012

If you haven't had your fix of superhero video games, then you're in luck. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have just announced a new title they're creating called Injustice: Gods Among Us. Creating the title will be NeatherRealm Studios, which created the remake of Mortal Kombat last year.

Injustice: Gods Among Us debuts as a bold new fighting game franchise that introduces a deep, original story featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale.

Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said: "With 'Injustice: Gods Among Us,' we are creating an all-new franchise with incredible battles set in the DC Comics Universe. NetherRealm Studios is the extremely talented team behind the latest Mortal Kombat hit and it is developing a game unlike any other in the fighting genre.”

Fan-Made The Dark Knight Rises Posters of Alfred and Gordon

by SuperHeroHype

May 31, 2012

Two days ago, we showed you the pretty incredible fan-made poster of Matthew Modine's character for The Dark Knight Rises.

Now the trend is continuing as someone over on The Dark Knight Rises fan community Facebook page has created two more.

The best part about this new trend of characters in the rain is that it proves once again Alfred is the smartest person in the series, because he brought an umbrella. Now considering WB has released almost so many other posters for the film, why wouldn't they make these posters a reality?
