Obviously the animals used in such shows must be protected. But other than that, this show was as dull as dishwater. I watched the pilot and almost fell asleep. Can't remember another such high profile HBO show that generated so little buzz outside of the industry. Getting Hoffman to do a TV show was a great thing. Outside that, I didn't see much in this series.
Maybe the horses' death was just an excuse to tank and under performing show.

I don't think so. They had just picked it up for a second season.
I liked the pilot, but then I love playing the ponies.
Granted, I didn't watch any other episodes, but that's no reflection on the show. I just forgot to TiVo it because I suck like that.

I can't access that through my TiVo, and I'm too lazy to switch the inputs on my TV to use the actual cable box, so I always forget I have that shit.
There's probably a lot of gems on there that I miss every day.

My DVR is built into the cable box. HBO On Demand comes "free" with the HBO package.

Yeah, I know I have it. But I've got separate TiVo service, because I like hearing the boops and beeps. I've watched On Demand before, I just always forget about it.
