Four days off and 12 pages, or something...

Barry Ween. Laugh out loud funny.
Steel. Still hasn't lived up to the promise of being named for one of America's great legends, but lots of great stories.
Deadman. Scot Eric spoke most eloquently about Boston.

Winter Soldier. If you're going to break a sacred comic rule, do it this well.
(Also, I would've bet XIII would face off with the Prisoner.)
Max Lord. Hero or villain, a great character.
King Faraday. I've always loved that character.

Hot Stuff. Just...Hot Stuff.
Too Much Coffee Man. I need a regular book with TMCM, Reid Fleming, and Flaming Carrot.
Death. I wore a Death shirt just yesterday.

Maxx. Great book, great cartoon.
Superboy. Kesel+Grummett=great comics.
Anna Mercury. Another top-notch Ellis creation.

OMAC. Man, it took a lot for me to vote against the Imperial Guard, but Kirby at DC did it.
Smax. Love the Dragon, but another great Moore concept wins.
Beast Boy. This one was close too, but from Doom Patrol to New Teen Titans, Gar gets it.

Flex. The Hero of the Beach.
Rocket Raccoon. Never been a G'nort fan.
Vext. Close again, but Giffen's piss-take on superheroes is as refreshing as Ennis', just different.

B.A. I prefer my cartoons intentional.
Guy Gardner, to my great surprise. The JL appearances, Dixon's high-adventure run, Warrior and Warriors.
Iron Fist. No surprise at all.

Comedian. How many of these guys actually exist?
Slam Bradley. Siegel and Schuster and Catwoman and Batman and Cooke.
Richard Dragon. I was not aware of his origin, but that makes him even cooler.

The Blame Stray Cat Blues Match:

Streaky the Supercat is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Streaky first appeared in Action Comics #261, and was created by Jerry Siegel and Jim Mooney.

In Action Comics #261, Supergirl was experimenting on a piece of green kryptonite in an attempt to find a way to neutralize its deadly effects.
When her experiment failed, she tossed the kryptonite (or "X-Kryptonite", as it became known) out the window.

Though her experiment failed, her pet Streaky came across the X-Kryptonite and was exposed to its radiation.
As the comics described it, "Due to the unique combination of chemicals in X-Kryptonite, it has given Streaky superpowers!"

Streaky's powers consisted of a smaller subset of those of Superman and Supergirl, including flight, super-strength, super-vision, and super-speed.

Streaky made sporadic appearances in comic stories through the 1960s, and even became a member of the Legion of Super-Pets, a group consisting of the aforementioned super-powered animals.

Streaky's last pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths appearance was in Adventure Comics #394.
Presumably, when all of Earth's kryptonite was transformed into iron in Superman #233, Streaky's X-Kryptonite power source was eliminated as well, ending his super-career and returning him to the life of a normal housecat.

VS

Comet the Super-Horse is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by DC Comics.
Comet first appeared in Action Comics #292 in October 1962, and was created by Jim Mooney.

Comet was Supergirl's pet horse and, while in his human form as Bill Starr, her brief boyfriend. Comet also had a brief romance with Lois Lane in her comic book.

As he described to her telepathically, he was originally a centaur in ancient Greece named Biron. The witch Circe gave him a potion to turn him fully human after he told her about an evil sorcerer poisoning her water, but by mistake made him fully horse instead. Unable to reverse the spell, she instead gave him superpowers, including immortality.

Later, after meeting Supergirl, he went on a mission with her to another planet, where a magic spell was cast that turned him into a human, but only while a comet passes through the solar system he is in. As a human, he adopted the identity of "Bronco" Bill Starr, a rodeo trick-rider, whom Supergirl fell in love with.

Comet made sporadic appearances in comic stories through the 1960s, and even became a member of the Legion of Super-Pets, a group consisting of the aforementioned super-powered animals.

A traditional equine Comet is partially seen in Legion of Three Worlds #1. He is part of a display in the museum Superboy-Prime visits.
The museum does have displays of the supermen of the multiverse and the Kristen Wells Superwoman so it is unclear whether this means Comet has returned to regular continuity.

Striker Z is a fictional superhero published by DC Comics.
He first appeared in JLA #611⁄2, but his origin is told in Power Company: Striker Z #1. Striker Z was created by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett.

Daniel "Danny" Tsang is a stuntman for Fragrant Harbor Films in Hong Kong.
During the filming of Unclean Policeman IV director Dickson Kurata sneaks a crew into the basement laboratory of the Hong Kong branch of S.T.A.R. Labs.

Danny is distracted while performing a dangerous stunt over a vat of experimental fuel cell plasma. The mutagenic compound permeates his cells and alters his body chemistry transforming him into a superstrong human battery.
His best friend is former S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Charlie Lau; Charlie creates his uniform and invents his Striker Plates and Flight Jacket.

On his first adventure he helps Superboy defeat the Golden Sorcerer, actually a transformed Dickson Kurata who had also bathed in the fuel cell plasma.
The Golden Sorcerer's energy supply is much greater than Striker Z's and so is able to manifest solid energy constructs.
Superboy is finally able to defeat the Golden Sorcerer by attaching Striker Z's Omega Cannon to his body and using it to siphon off all his energy.

Danny re-appears in Power Company #1 and remains with the team until the series finale in issue #18.

Black Lightning (Jefferson Pierce) was one of the first major African American superheroes to appear in DC Comics.
He debuted in Black Lightning #1, and was created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden.

A gold medal-winning Olympic decathlete, Jefferson Pierce returned to his old neighborhood in the Southside (Suicide Slum) section of the city of Metropolis, with his wife Lynn Stewart and his daughter Anissa to become the principal of Garfield High School.
Southside as it was once known was where his father renowned journalist Alvin Pierce had been murdered.

Guilt over this event was a factor in his decision to leave the city of Metropolis. Suicide Slum was being torn apart by a local organized criminal gang called the 100, shady corporations, and crooked local politicians like Tobias Whale.

Peter Gambi, a family friend and tailor, had taught a much younger Jefferson how to suppress his inborn metahuman abilities so that he would not accidentally hurt any of the people he cared about.

Upon his return Gambi suggested to Jefferson that he should use his powers to help the neighborhood, and refers him to a plaque with the paraphrased Milo Sweetman quote "Justice, like lightning should ever appear to some men hope, to other men fear", the original text of which was "Justice, like lightning, ever should appear to few men's ruin, but to all men's fear. Of mortal justice if thou scorn the rod, believe and tremble, thou art judged of God."

Appalled by the public murder of Earl Clifford, one of his more promising students, Pierce tried to intervene on behalf of the schoolchildren, but quickly learned that the 100 objected violently to any interference.

Pierce adopts the costumed identity "Black Lightning". Years later, he would tell fellow African American superhero Mister Terrific that he chose the name Black Lightning because he "was the only one of us around" at the time, and he "wanted to make sure everyone knew who they were dealing with."

Multiple Man aka James Arthur "Jamie" Madrox, is a fictional character, a Marvel Comics superhero, associated with the X-Men.
Created by writer Len Wein with script from Chris Claremont and art by John Buscema, he first appeared in Giant-Size Fantastic Four #4.

Jamie Madrox was born to a family living near the Los Alamos research facility in New Mexico; the background radiation may have stimulated his mutation.
When Jamie was born, the doctor's slap causes him to multiply into two identical babies. Professor Charles Xavier, a friend of the Madrox family, suggests that they move to Kansas to raise the boy in privacy.
Dr. Daniel Madrox, Jamie's father, creates a suit for him to wear which is designed to absorb kinetic energy, the source of the duplication.

Later, Damian Tryp, of Singularity Investigations, makes his own offer to look after Jamie, claiming that Jamie is not just a normal mutant, but actually a "changeling", a predecessor to mutants who develops its powers at birth.

Jamie's parents refuse to give Jamie to Tryp. When Jamie is fifteen years old, his parents are killed by a tornado alleged to have been caused by Tryp, and Jamie begins to run the farm by himself along with his duplicates, or "dupes", until his suit is damaged.

Madrox goes to New York City for help where he meets Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four. He contacts Professor Xavier, who sends the youth to Muir Island with Moira McTaggert, to work in her laboratory and help her with research.

He later helps Moira and fellow mutants Havok and Polaris in searching for the escaped mutant, Proteus. Proteus hijacks one of Madrox's duplicates as his own body, although this does not harm Madrox.
Following the X-Men's battle with Proteus on Muir Island, Madrox was invited to join the X-Men, but he declined.

Duo Damsel (Luornu Durgo) is a fictional character, a superhero in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Comics Universe and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
She has also used the aliases Triplicate Girl, Triad, Una and Duplicate Damsel.
She first appeared in Action Comics #276 and was created by Jerry Siegel & Jim Mooney.

A native of the planet Cargg, Luornu could split into three identical bodies, as could all Carggites, due to the planet Cargg having three suns.
Her costume consisted of a purple dress, orange cape and belt, and black boots.

She was the fourth hero to join the Legion of Super-Heroes, and its first non-founder member.
Unlike her post-Zero Hour counterpart, Triad, she had brown eyes, not split purple/orange ones.
For a long time, she had an unrequited crush on Superboy.

One of her three bodies was killed by Brainiac 5's killer creation Computo The Conqueror (a rogue computer) early on, and she was thereafter known as Duo Damsel.
Her surviving two bodies continued to remember the trauma of experiencing her/their death, with the result that Computo was the one villain whom Duo Damsel was too frightened to confront.

Duo Damsel later donned a unique half orange, half purple costume which could divide with her, leaving one body wearing an orange costume and one wearing a purple costume.
The costume was initially designed to aid her in a mission on the planet Pasnic, but the character continued to wear "splitting" costumes such as this throughout most of the original continuity.

Duo Damsel left active Legion service to become a reservist after marrying fellow Legionnaire Bouncing Boy in Superboy #200; after this she then appeared only sporadically.

In later years of the first Legion continuity she served as an instructor at the Legion Academy along with her husband.

She suffered the death of one of her two remaining bodies battling the Time Trapper after she took part in a conspiracy to avenge the death of Superboy, which had been caused by the Trapper (After a minor reboot in 1990, it was stated that Glorith killed the second body during a conspiracy to avenge her genocidal destruction of the Daxamite race).

It was revealed that Luornu's second body was still alive.
This body, and the ability to duplicate herself, were restored to her, and she gained a new ability to generate force fields. This new ability was transferred to her by a special force field belt given to her by Brainiac 5 to protect her after the supposed death of her second body.
