Look, I've got no problem with Psy's opinion that I need to "make him care" about the selection I made. However, that's not what I started out to do. I like the characters solely because they are DC heroes (or villains). That's all the justfication I need for ME.
YMMV.If I pull out a character that you are unfamiliar with, cool. There's 76 years of history from DC, National, Quality, Fawcett, Wildstorm, Red Circle and others to draw from. Look up the stories and come to the conclusion yourself. The argument that "________ is unworthy because I don't know/like him" (Which is NOT an argument that Psy is making, I'm just using it as an example.) is never a valid way to express your point. Neither (IMO) should "s/he is 'from the wrong era', 'not from MY favorite team or book' or 'in the costume designed by _______ artist' be acceptable either
If there is someone else you think I should have chosen, cool. However I'm going to share my top secret selection process with you now.
1- Figure out which letter of the alphabet comes next.
2- Go to the Wikipedia List o'DC characters for that letter.
3- Start at top of list, read down until I find someone that seems likely.
4- Confirm that person can be done with available parts by looking at art and exisiting toys.
5- Post to Facebook and this thread.
6- Sleep and wait until next day.
7- Wake up and start with #1.
I like Bloodwynd and Dan Garrett and agree that they could easily be done with available bits AND I'll probably get to them when I get back to "B".
Psy and I aren't seeing things in the same way. That's fine. We weren't quite saying things in the way we needed to in order to come to an understanding. That happens. Fuck, I'm also a bit more sensitive than I care to admit.
I gots no beef with Psy. But I'm not going to try and make him care about the characters I select. Honestly, I could live without Ben Boxer, but he fits into my "can be done with available parts" criteria.
I'd give you more points Psy, but I only have the 'one per hour' power
