Avengers toys

Anyone pick up the Quinjet yet? I've seen it at both TRU and Wally. Have to say that this is the kinda thing that adds value to the MU line -- and, I think, demonstrates that MU is more of a toy line than a collectible line.
I only have MU Blue Goliath and the Iron Man that came with it. Really don't need a quinjet, but may pick it up for eventual resale.
Also saw new figures of Thor, Iron Man and Hulk that have battle action or something.

Don't collect MU, but I was still tempted to pick up the Quinjet when I saw it this weekend.

I picked up the movie-accurate versions of Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, and Loki. They're more limited in sculpt and articulation than MU.

They looked okay for the most part, but the Hulk's face and shade of green looked strange in toy form.

Yeah, I don't do movie versions...period! Plus, I agree that Hulk looked weird.
I'm really hating Hawkeye's new look in comics. I can live with Jeremy Renner not wearing a skull cap -- and could even adjust to comic book Clint airing out his blond hair, but the overall outfit is just too Ultimates -- and drab. There is just no flare to it at all except for the purple shades. I really hope this is rectified later in the year, when the film is behind us. Films influencing comics is really a huge turn off -- and something publishers seem too willing to do these days.

Seems like the changes in movies that comics fans can accept--raised silver lines on Spider-Man, all black on Batman, two truckloads of shit on Catwoman--then have to be reflected in the comics so that the mythical flocks of movie fans who race into your LCS can recognize them, but comic-accurate costumes can't be reflected in movies. What does this imply? Must be that comics fans are more flexible, more accepting, even...smarter? Well, we know we're a much smaller, more discerning community. I just think this proves we're better.

I know. They've been talking about this elusive group since the first X-Men movie came out. If Newsarama had any journalistic integrity, they'd do a report which actually investigated whether or not this phenomena actually exists. I'm doubtful.

Does he remind you of Ashy Larry from The Chappelle Show?
I saw them today at Target, I had no idea they were coming so soon, so that was exciting. Bought Cap. That'll probably be it, unless I can ever find Black Widow.
I walked down the aisle and saw Hasbro finally got that carded Iron Man 2 Mickey Rourke out. I think I actually said "Good job, morons" out loud.

Clothing wise, yes. I don't think Target management will like me throwing baby powder on him to see how much I can get him to resemble Larry, though.

he looks like him facially, also. They have an action feature version who opens his mouth all weird when you squeeze his legs.
These will be a hit with the kids, I guess. I'm just glad they exist.

I've never been one for the movie toys but I'll be damned if I won't buy a set of these just b/c its Avengers. It'll look nice as a stand alone display in the toy lair.
