I am literally sitting in the theater as the end credits are scrolling. Gonna have to think about how I really felt about this film.

Support Rocko and buy it from Barnes & Noble:

Or just come in to take a shit in our bathroom and then pass out in the easy chairs 10 hours later after you're done reading it.

It is. I run the Music and DVD Department. I'm allowed an incredible degree of latitude. I stock what I want and most days all I have to do all day is talk to people about the same stuff I talk about here and on Salisbury Snake. Most of my friends started out as customers, and I have a wide array of different kinds of people as friends, because my audience is "people who listen to music and watch DVDs." I get away with a lot because I make good money for them. We're closer to the end than the beginning, but it's been a good ride.

So if that guy in the beginning was seeding a planet with his DNA by killing himself (not a very advanced way to go about that - I can spread seed way easier), why did they specifically show the DNA break apart and disintegrate?  Unzipping the halves would make sense, but fully disintegrating doesn't so much.

looks like I wasn't far off in thinking the robed being at the beginning was actually one of the creators of the Engineers

Yeah it seems that alot of the problems with the film might be a result of the fact it was originally susposed to be a direct prequel to ALIEN and then got changed to an original story set in the ALIEN universe (and part of a trilogy) sometime during production. It seems to have left some inconsistencies and loose ends that might not have been there had they stuck to the original plan.

Does anyone know if the original script is available online?
