At least I can count on the Doctor Who toyline for a thrill this year.  Can't wait to see what they have to offer!

No WWE or 6" DC exclusive this year from Mattel, and I generally haven't been too thrilled with Marvel Legends SDCC stuff over the years.  Nice to not have to do any begging this year, I guess. meh

It kind of is Marvel's year since I personally think Avengers will smoke Batman like a Virginia ham.

I hear there are a few Brigadier pix floating around the web, in at least two different outfits.  And Katy Manning supposedly let it slip that her Jo Grant figure should have been out by now.  I'm expecting one of them, but hoping for both of them.

If you’re going to SDCC, once again, we’ll have a voucher pre-sale from 5/30 at 9 am PT through 6/14 at 11:59 pm PT. You’ll be able to pre-order your products for pickup at the show. We’ll have more information on the sale coming soon, so keep your eye on this page for updates. And if you can’t make it to SDCC, a small quantity of products will be available here on MattyCollector.com following the show (details also to follow).

This part makes me wonder if we haven't seen everything yet, but it honestly doesn't do much for DCUC fans who have been waiting for news that will make the 2012 sub still seem worth the money and makes us eager for 2013.  I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep collecting at this rate.  I can only get kicked in the gut by somone asking me for money only so many times- and that goes for Mattel and DC.

Just a gut feeling.  Avengers seems to be about having fun with the genre.  I think Nolan wants to make you squirm in your seat.  YMMV.

She is the start of a whole new look of 8" DC Stactions. We are trying it out with one figure Death to see what fans think. This is not intended to replace 6". 6" will continue strong on Mattycollector.com with Flash 1 on sale in two weeks! It is just a fun new way to collect the DC Universe. It won't be for every fan, but for those into this look/interpretation - jackpot!

If this line proves popular enough, who know where it could go!

Sure, do her right with a decent base, maybe an accessory or two, and no doubt she would've sold nicely. But who needs a uniquely-sized statue? That's what DC Direct is for.

I'm kinda pissed, frankly. Toyguru should have at least said earlier that there'd be nothing for DCUC fans this year, to at least manage the disappointment early. I personally was expecting something decent, but 'absolutely nothing' was not what i would've considered as an option.

Mattel really isn't too interested in DC this year, are they?

And here's the answer to Rod's question

Posted April 27, 2012 01:51 PM    Hide Post
We wanted to use our DC SDCC items this year to try out some new form factors and artistic interpretations of the DC Universe. Also, the Dark Knight figure is a 6" Movie Master (but yes, I know you are asking about 6" DCUC comic book figures).

The 6" line is continuing on Mattycollector.com. We wanted to drive traffic there and use SDCC to offer up some new way to collect DC characters. Sure they won't be for everyone, but this is not a sign that 6" isn't continuing strong on Mattycollector.com every month starting with Flash 1 in just two weeks!

Where? How about nowhere. If everyone hasn't learned to not collect new 'lines' from Mattel by now... If you enjoy one-offs, no problem.

Now that she's been referred to as a "staction", is it possible that she's in scale with the figures, and they're counting her base as a couple of inches tall?  I doubt her little bird feet could stand without it.
