The Hot Toys Thread!

Hey folks,
I took delivery of this bad boy today. It was expensive $120.00 plus shipping but well, WELL worth it.
I'll post pictures later.
As well as being an awesome scuplt with a flawless paint job this figure has a rubberised muscled body with the usual majorly articulated 1/6 body underneath.
You also get a US Flag, Robe, Towel, Championship Belt and bandaged hands in addition to the gloves.
Here's the link to the Prototype :-
http://www.hottoys.com.hk/product.php?cat=47&pid=216
Conversely, unlike other manufacturers the actual production piece is a LOT more detailed and looks so much like Sly it's untrue.
They've now expanded the line to include an Ivan Drago and Apollo Creed (in addition to the Clubber (Mr. T.) Lang already available) and needless to say I've got them on pre-order.
Fantastic!
At least I've got somewhere to spend my hard earned Toy cash now that Sideshow have cancelled...sorry, I mean 'rested' the majority of my collecting line such as Buffy, X-Files, Horror and Bond.
Man - this figure is GREAT!

Not to derail your thread, Abs, but the first thing that occurred to me was: is the figure anatomically correct?
Sly
was
the Itallion Stallion, remember.

My Favourite Bruce Lee movie 'Way of the Dragon', estimated to be out right around my Birthday. Great exchange rate at the moment. I'm having it!!!!!!!!

While there's been nothing but discussion - good and bad - around the new DC Universe Classics, we haven't heard much about the OTHER DC Universe line: Fighting Figures. These guys were originally part of a game, but those plans were scrapped. The figures are still being released though, action features and all. The first shipment contains 5 different two packs, all of which I'm reviewing tonight.
The guest review is from Jeff Parker, and covers the Hot Toys Superman/Clark Kent as well as the new Jor-El. That Jor-El is one mighty sweet figure! Check out all the reviews at the usual:

Heading over to check out the reviews now.....
My Jor-El arrives this week and Superman (v2) arrives towards the end of the month. After buying the first Hot Toys Superman and their Batman Begins figure, I was completely sold on them! Best 1:6 company out there IMO.

Pretty spiffy I guess, but history kinda says that these will go the way of SUperhero Showdown. I just don't know that there's much of a market for these. Superhero collectors seem pretty entrenched in that 6-7 inch niche.

Yeah, I was on the fence about these, but they look a bit crap in close up. Maybe I'll get Darkseid if they make it to clearance.

My Jor-El figure came in the mail from China yesterday. It's one heckuva great figure-- the likeness is amazing and the clothes are real quality. Expensive, but worth it.
The only thing that would make it better would be a version of it in black like the origianl film.

Mine arrived yesterday as well, and you said exactly what I was thinking.
