IM looks good there, except his head look in proportion to his body, with that armor on, and I think his head should look a little small with his body in armor....witness the size of the helmet relative to his head.... no way he gets that on in real life.

No wonder Pepper likes to make out with him after a mission.... it's like spending an hour with an english muffin. Or so I've heard.

3A is working on a comic-based 1/6 scale Dredd figure with his Lawmaster. I can't wait to see how that turns out.

I've been disappointed with the 3A 2000a.d stuff.
It's too stylised for me (not that I could afford it, if I did like it).
I'm hoping we may get a cool 6" line off the back of the upcoming Dredd movie.

Sometimes I have to wonder about their character selection.... at their pricepoint it would seem that mainly iconic and wildly popular characters would be a sensible choice. levere, you seem to know a lot about this company, do they poll on character/property selection or anything?

They do have character polls from time to time, but I'm not sure how meaningful they really are. Here's the current one:
http://www.hottoys.jp/magazine/people/663.html
Given that they very rarely do plain-clothes civilians (too visually uninteresting) and the Cap costume on the right will probably be a part of the USO version already in development, this poll looks to be their way of gauging interest in Heimdall.
Do you remember the last poll, the Star Wars one?
http://www.hottoys.jp/magazine/people/544.html
Even if Chewie wasn't your favorite out of all of those, you'd have to be a bit looney to think anyone other than Chewie would win that one.
Who knows what kind of market research is done internally, but when it comes to non-proven properties, there's definitely a bit of a gamble involved.

I think they might place too much importance on visual appeal, at least for pop culture nerds. For instance, I'd rather have Michael Corleone in a suit than a guy from Predators. I dunno maybe I'm in the minority, but to me the character is the thing...and with their caliber of sculpting, I would think they don't need to be reliant on guns and flak vests. Vito Corleone is still the most amazing figure I own, and it's just an old guy in a suit with a cat.
