It's coming.
I love these games, been way to long since the Ballad of Gay Tony.
Now, just trying to work out, is that an American bill or a British one?
Looks suspiciously like the font from a fiver to me..
Would GTA London be too much to hope for?

While I've got nothing against Liberty City (NYC), I'd love another change of scenery. I like Vice City and San Andreas more than III or IV. London could be great, although I could see a lot of whiny Americans having a problem with it, at least until they actually started playing the game. I'd love to see it take place in Chicago, or another multi-city game (e.g. Houston, St. Louis & New Orleans). Or, keep it in Liberty City and add one or two other cities. Philly and/or D.C., maybe?

I am certain we won't see Liberty again until the next generation of consoles (minus a stories type game on PSVita).
Smart money is saying this will be set in L.A, due to casting leaks.
London is a pipe dream of mine, I think Rockstar know that too many American's would complain, just looking at all the bullshit on the IGN boards whenever the subject comes up (can't understand the accents, London has no guns, London is boring etc) is enough to make anyone realise why they probably won't.
I'd love to go back to Miami (Vice) myself, if we're getting the classic cities back.
Though the Eighties was a big part of the appeal..
After Midnight Club 3 and L.A Noire, I'm kinda bored by the City of Angel's already.
Doesn't help that other than the Hollywood sign and South Central, it's (to me) a very boring city, grid based and mostly huge Motorways.
Doesn't make for that interesting a game world.
No offense to any L.A people here.
Having said which if they can pull off San Andreas 2 and include San Fran and Vegas as well.
That'd be just fine.

I had a negative reaction to London for some reason. It just doesn't seem like an action-centric place. That's not to say it might not be, or that I would not love it, just that my initial emotional reaction wasn't positive.
I've always thought Hong Kong would be cool. The lights and various dynamics of the surrounding country. It could be really cool.

I take it you've never been to London then?

No shit, Sherlock (see, because he's from where you're from. I think. And you're a cop. Or a detective. Or a bouncer. All the same, right?), nice deduction.
It's fairly obvious I learned everything I know about gang heavy, action oriented movies are what I've learned in movies co-staring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.

Yeah, you've obviously never seen anything set in modern day Britain.

I was just joking.
I've seen every Guy Ritchie movie.

Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be set in its fictional world of San Andreas.
San Andreas is a fictional U.S Southwestern state which includes three cites based on real U.S cities - Los Santos, (Los Angeles), San Fierro (San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas). Rockstar has a habit of tweaking its cities, and GTA V is set in modern day, so it's possible that area names and the city's layout will change.
Previously, it has only appeared in one game - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which came out in 2004. That game was based in the early 1990s against a a backdrop of drug crimes and gang warfare. It drew heavily upon cultural references such as the movie Boyz n the Hood and musical influences such as Tupac.

Ohhhh, I love these games. I haven't made the leap to PS3 yet, but I still jam on San Andreas and Vice City from time to time. Love them.

It's a little disappointing that it looks like Los Santos is the only major city in the game. I'm sure there'll be plenty to keep me busy and entertained, but I'm just a little less excited about it now. Just a little.
