I just recently discovered some nicer, stronger 4"x6" cards that I wish I had had previously. It's made by Oxford, and costs $1.59 for a pack of 100 cards at my local Drug Mart.

As for the tabs/stands... I use my ruler to mark off a 1" line from the bottom of the card, and then use some of my original Pals as references for height. (For men, it's an Aquaman, and for women, it's a Wonder Woman.) Everything is sized according to them. Anyway, at the bottom (as you've seen in some of my "in progress" shots, I've got a nice little tab to fold back. I've had people add weight to their Pals by glueing or taping pennies to the underside of the tab before, so that's always a possibility, too.

So not only do you do amazing custom art, but you also draw really well, too! I gotta tell you, Rod... I'm a little jealous!

Would anyone be surprised if they're all Teen Titans-related? (Though a couple were real surprises, I think!)

It's been a productive day so far at the Pally's Pals factory. Getting closer to completing Sherlock Foley's set, and will move on to the next batch as soon as I'm able. (Work this week is going to be crazy, so we might slow down for a bit.) In any case, I've just drawn one character that I have never, ever drawn before. I hope his gun came out well enough!

Just got word that Marv-El got his set of 12 Pals. (He got 12 because he took the "no list" option!)

I have 9 of 10 done for Sherlock Foley. The 10th is going to surprise him quite a bit, I think.

I like many aspects of this set. My Legion is underway with B5 and Sun Boy from a previous grouping. The JLA is well-established with J'onn and Clark (and Donna, arguably, although I'd call her a good start on the Titans), and they join Captain Marvel, Captain Atom, and John Stewart. Happy and Danette begin two teams we"ll likely never see completed anywhere else. The JL villains! We might--might--see a Queen Bee or Key in DCUC, but in those costumes? And Clock King? I can't imagine a DCUC of this figure (now, anyway. In the days of Killer Moth and Gentleman Ghost, maybe), and who wants a plainclothes guy with dials for glasses?

Makes you think, doesn't it? Ira Quimby, Chronos, Royal Flush Gang, Despero, Kanjar Ro...
