http://www.gamesradar.com/ps3/playstation-3/news/sony-some-services-to-be-restored-within-a-week-personal-information-has-been-compromised/a-20110426135121494068/g-20060314115917309058/c-3

So after a week of non-information Sony have finally admitted they've been hacked and all our account/personal information has been stolen including E-Mail addresses, phone numbers, names/addresses/birthdates and credit card info.

It's highly recommended that you change all your passwords and watch your credit card info carefully.

Yeah, it took them a week to tell us this.

Fuck you Sony, fuck you very much.

Yeah, getting hacked is a fact of life.  Not telling folks is another thing.

What he said.  There is NO network that is hack proof....but delaying acknowledgment that you were in fact hacked, accomplishes nothing save pissing people off.  I can see not wanting to cause a false alarm...but if it really took Sony that long to determine they've been compromised.....they need new Network Engineers stat.

What they need is a new P.R department.

And also to stop announcing they've made an un-hackable console.. Roll Eyes

From IGN:

The PlayStation Network is back, but the PlayStation Store isn't. And while we don't yet have a firm date as to when we can expect the Store's return, we do have some good news about what you can expect when the Store does come back.

Initially leaked via the European PlayStation Blog's RSS feed, and later confirmed by the American PlayStation Blog, Sony's "Welcome Back" program is set to be quite generous. When the PlayStation Store finally comes back to the PlayStation Network, here's what existing members (as of April 20th) can acquire. For full details, be sure to visit the Blog.
An image of the original RSS feed leak.

Gamers can select two of the five following PlayStation 3 games:

    Dead Nation
    Infamous
    LittleBigPlanet
    Super Stardust HD
    WipeOut HD + Fury

Those with PSPs can also cop two of four following PSP games:

    LittleBigPlanet PSP
    ModNation Racers PSP
    Pursuit Force
    Killzone Liberation

Additionally, the PlayStation faithful can look forward to the following:

"A selection of 'On Us' rental movie titles" for use on a single weekend. The weekend in question and the titles available have yet to be determined.
Non-PlayStation Plus subscribers get 30 free days of PlayStation Plus.
Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers get 60 free days of PlayStation Plus.

Keep in mind that, according to the original European RSS post, European gamers are going to get Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty in lieu of Super Stardust HD.

Can you vouch for any of those games?

I don't own a PSP but for the PS3.

LittleBigPlanet is a cool little platformer/create your own game hybrid.

The platforming pre-built levels are pretty fun, but where you'll get the good stuff, if you have the patience/inclination is the creation mode.

There's also a ton of user created content to download.
Also, for those who care there's a load of DLC costumes including Marvel and 2000a.d stuff.

This game is going extremely cheaply now (£5 here) though, so it may be worth skipping it and buying it pre-owned (it has no penalty for doing so) if you're interested.

Infamous is an open world super-hero type game (think the first Hulk game/Spideman).
I found it a little boring, but there's no doubt it's a great game.
There's tons to do and you unlock the main character's electricity powers over time, so there's incentive to keep levelling up.
Probably the best of the games on offer.

However, this too is now cheap in stores.

Wipeout is Wipeout. If you've played one before you know what you're getting.
If you haven't think F-Zero with neon effects and club music.
Always worth a bash, if you like super speedy racing games and/or dance music.

I've not played SSD or Dead Nation but they both scored well in reviews.

I already own a couple of these, so I'll be grabbing Dead Nation and Wipeout FWIW.

A link to a review for you.

http://www.gamesradar.com/ps3/dead-nation/review/dead-nation-review/a-20101118154133655095/g-20100615134118524091

I do actually remember playing this now, if you remember games like Mercs back in the Genesis days, you'll know what to expect.

And Infamous is well worth getting (plus, the sequel's on it's way in the fall).
