So I just powered through this game and damn was it short!  I think it fit "thug Bond" better than JSay gave it credit for in his review, but the rest was spot on.  The phone being just a half-assed detective mode combined with the information gathering being useless was a real turn off.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you Chooch, but the reason why I felt it didn't match up to Bond standards is because "Thug" is easy to replicate but hard to get right.

Did you ever play the Jason Bourne game?
You could have swapped Bond and Bourne in these games and I doubt many would have noticed.

Even though Craig's Bond is not the wise cracking, slightly world weary, gadget using, Connery type Bond (yet) he still has a style about him that tells you he's Bond. A little new to the job at this stage and maybe a little to eager to be the baddest, but he still has the odd flash of what we know is to come.

I just didn't feel the game captured that.

I didn't play the Bourne game.  Did he have an MI-6 equivalent backing him up?

Ha, no. Grin
He did have a gritty revenge fueled plot, some brutal Krav Maga moves, a few breakneck driving sequences and a slow down time to shoot move though.

It's a reasonably decent game if you can find it cheap.

Yeah, it was the MI-6 briefings and the overall British accents that made it feel Bond-y to me.  You have to remember those accents are a treat for us over here!

Ha, fair play.

It's funny I never think of things like that.
I guess Bond has been a part of my life since I was such a young kid that I forget how much cross cultural impact he's had.

Now the real question is, what do you all think of our future King's wedding? Wink Grin

Gill said you all are getting days off of work for it.  I cry shenanigans.  I didn't get the day off of work when Angelina Jolie or Chelesea Clinton got hitched.

Well it's better than the last time two of them got hitched, I only got a spoon. Grin
