Hey, we're talking movie tie-in scale here.
Okay with these games is like....masterpiece in other genres. laugh

And honestly, Cap is published by Sega again...I wouldn't hold out too much hope.
Besides it's only around three months 'til Arkham City.

I think I only made it through a demo of Spidey 2.  I was pretty burnt out on Spidey games by that point, so that could have colored my perception.

It (very) loosely follows the movie storyline, with several cool boss fights against Spidey villains.  Very GTA-style open world game, with plenty to do on the side.  My favorite thing to do besides web-swinging around the huge city of NYC is delivering pizza.  It's one of the best PS2 games.

I loved it, but when it was time to fight Doc Ock, I couldn't even figure out how to damage him at all. at all. Ever. Never seemed to come close. Ruined it for me.

Captain America game is pretty damn good shock!

Damn.
I rented this with some trepidation, seeing as it's yet another Sega title.

But, it's great.

Cap dashes around a central hub castle, twatting Nazi's Hydra, collecting stuff and upgrading his skills.

The game borrows a lot from Arkham Asylum, and although the combat isn't nearly as satisfying (no combo's, boo) it's still meaty.
Chucking the iconic shield around is brilliant.

The acrobatic platforming bits all respond well and give you a taste of how Super Soldier Serum will hopefully appear on the big screen.

Voice work is good (Chris Evans voices Cap) and there are cameos from Bucky, Dum-Dum Dugan and co.

Only to mission four at the moment, so I haven't come across any big bosses yet, but so far, so good.

Not mindblowing (and certainly not worth $40) but way, way better than Iron Man and Thor.

If you're a Cap fan, you're going to want to play this at some stage. Thumb's Up

Gives me hope that the inevitable Avengers game might not actually suck.

Just beat this game now.

Apart from dragging a little at the end, damn good fun.
Boss fights are mostly interesting and there's a whole wealth of classic Cap villains buried within.

Plus, hidden bonus costumes (which I won't spoil).

If you're a Cap fan, check it out.
Well worth a rental or a reduced buy. Thumb's Up

Finished it tonight and I'd rate it as more of a weekend rental than an out right buy.  The game play was better than average, but like Jsay said it really started to drag towards the end and IMO the climatic battle was more than a little MEH.  One of those games where you're left feeling more like "WTF...that's it?" instead of "That was fucking awesome".
