I must say I wasn't convinced at first by the Doctor Who version of Churchill, but Ian McNeice is such an awesome guy that I'm happy to get this set Smiley

The Doctor has been summoned by his old friend Winston Churchill but in the Cabinet War Rooms, far below the streets of blitz-torn London, he finds his oldest enemy waiting for him... The Daleks are back! And can Churchill really be in league with them?

The Ironsides were designed to be the perfect warrior, after the concept was dreamt up by Professor Bracewell, seemingly from nowhere. In actual fact, these new weapons which Winston Churchill wanted to use to win the war were in fact Daleks, who had fallen back through time and needed the Doctor to be able to create the new Dalek race. Professor Bracewell was in fact an android built by the Daleks, part of a complex trap to lure the Doctor back to where they were hiding, so he would unwittingly allow the Dalek race to be reborn thanks to his testimony. The new Daleks appeared, and exterminated the Ironsides.

Contents: 1 x Winston Churchill action figure, 1 x Ironside Dalek action figure with Tea Tray plus extra accessories!

This item can only be supplied to the UK and Eire.

I really wish Doctor Who figures were in 6 inch scale.  There would be so much custom potential.

Whoo-hoo!!!!  Not only two of my most wanted figures, but how often is it that these guys release a set of all never-before-released figures?  Very exciting!!!

Ok... I don't know who/what any of those last two posts are. I mean, I know they're Doctor Who figures, but who and what are they?

(I've seen every episode since Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor, but very little from before then.)

Did you see last weeks episode, with the lady head of UNIT, Kate Stewart? The man in uniform is her dad, Brigadier General Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart. Compatriot of at least the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Doctors.  One of my favorite characters from Who folklore ever.

And the girl with him is Jo Grant, the Third Doctor's assistant. You've seen her naked cuddled up to a Dalek Wink  The monster is a Gel Guard from The Three Doctors.

I'll give you just some basic information on the first set so as not to spoil it for you, since they're from an excellent episode that you should watch Wink

The jackal-head guy is Sutekh the Destroyer and the others are his mummy Guardians, from Pyramids of Mars.

Thanks, Mirthy and JQ! I'll have to look into those... I have a local friend who I'm sure will have the episodes I need to see!

I really need to get back into collecting Doctor Who, but the figures are so damn expensive. Did buy a TARDIS key, tho.

In this Third Doctor adventure an approaching alien spaceship lands in England and the UNIT team meet its occupants: Beautiful golden-skinned humanoids called Axons. The Axons claim that their ship, Axos, is damaged and that they need time in which to repair it. In return, they offer Axonite, a substance that can cause animals to grow to enormous sizes and thus end Earth’s food shortages. The Doctor is suspicious, and rightly so: Axos, Axonite and the Axons - whose true form is that of hideous tentacle monsters - are all part of a single parasitic entity brought to Earth by the Master to feed on the planet's energy.

The Doctor links his and the Master’s TARDIS's together to make one giant time machine in order to help Axos - but on condition that they assist him in taking revenge on the Time Lords for exiling him to Earth. But, this is merely a trick, and Axos is locked in a time loop from which it can never escape.

Contents:
1 x Brigadier action figure in jersey with U.N.I.T. beret and pistol.
1 x Jo Grant action figure.
1 x Axon in Humanoid form action figure.
