there has been no official announcement. There has been no official decision. Bleeding Cool is making the same conclusion you are based on Wizard's screw up.
Now, will it happen? Probably. But I can tell you 100% that it's not official yet. Wizard is being very aggressive about this and jumped the gun (and why are you so impressed by the crappy-quick logo?

)
and that comes from the owner's of Mid Ohio, which are really the only people who's comments matter about this...
and you really believe Bleeding Cool?
Actually, Wizard has been trying to buy this con for a couple of years now. They more then likely bought the Cleveland and Cincinnati "cons" to try to motivate Mid Ohio to sell, but that's speculation (as is the Bleeding Cool article).
So take a deep breath and wait for something official. Give the Mid Ohio folks a chance to look at their results from this year's con and decide if this is what they want to do to move forward. If it is what they want, give them a chance to see if they can make a better Mid Ohio. Don't just write it off as DOA. We have yet to see what these smaller shows turn into after Wizard's involvement. They might be better, might be worse. They'll probably be more expensive, but they should also be bigger. The main goal for Wizard to be involved with Mid Ohio is to make it bigger and better. More space for more guests and dealers, better media guests, etc.
And in the end, anything is better then what's happened to show's like Pittsburgh...
