Welcome to the second anniversary of the Quick Fix in this format! We know we lost most of you two months into this project, but we keep trucking along anyway. Enjoy!
Prelude to Deadpool Corps #1 - Killer Queen
Rob Liefeld can't get an issue of Youngblood out to save this life, but he can do a weekly five-part Deadpool mini-series? Love him or hate him, he does this whole issue in his unique style. Fun for what it is.
Deadpool Team-Up #895
Deadpool teams-up with It! The Living Colossus. Wait until you see how! Also, Dalibor Talajic on art is great.
The Mighty Avengers #34 - Pre-Siege Mentality
Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
JSA All-Stars #4 - Constellations pt. 3: Stellar Collapse/The Inheritance pt. 3: Let's Make a Deal
The main story focuses on Sand and Stargirl, making this book, from a quality and interest standpoint, the rightful heir to the last run of the JSA book. The back-up got a little too slapstick.
Justice League: Cry for Justice #7 - Justice
The worst comic I've read in many years, and I read a lot of questionable stuff. An embarrassment to all of comic-kind.
The Authority #20 - Disorder
Fun twists and turns, but not quite enough narrative holding it together for my tastes.
The Sword #22
Everyone shows their true colors. None of them are pretty.
G.I. Joe #15
M.A.S.S. is up and running, Cobra's new captive turns out to be a willing participant, and a death actually has an impact.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? #9
Always awesome.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Vol. 6: Retreat TPB
A well-written tale on a premise that doesn't make much sense. An army of Slayers and Wiccans try to hide by giving up what makes them special? I see the story potential on a small scale, but on such a big scale it just becomes uninteresting. Deft dialogue and fun ideas sprinkled in as always though.
Fray TPB
Joss Whedon's first comic about a Slayer in the future. He really hit it out of the park with his debut and it's criminal that Karl Moline isn't headlining the Buffy franchise.
Rex Mundi Vol. 5 and 6: The Valley at the End of the World and Gate of God
Everything comes to a head in a satisfying, beautiful, tragic, and hopeful way.
The Astounding Wolf-Man Vol. 3 TPB
Kirkman is a modern day Kirby, if Kirby had never drawn. His expansive super-hero universe is filled with goodness, but tempered with drama.

Adventure Comics #511:
This issue would've been a lot better if there had been an actual story, instead of it being entirely comprised of lead-ins for yet another fucking Crossover. A complete waste of money. I hate it when I get suckered into a series, thinking I'm gonna get something exciting and new, and instead, all I get is a fucking commercial. This book should've been a dollar at most, it should've said that it was nothing more than a tie-in, and it shouldn't have been called "Adventure Comics" it's a sad fucking waste. I'd expect it out of "Adventure Comics #0", but almost a year in?. I guess that's what happens when you reinstate a title based on the merits of the creative team, only to jettison said creative team after five issues (interrupted by yet another fucking event). I was expecting a Legion story. I think they owe me a Legion story.
Nextwave #1:
NOW THIS IS A FUCKING COMIC! Chock-Full of pulpy goodness (And it doesn't hurt that it's one of my FAVORITE pulp characters). The first issue offers a mystery, intrigue, and an establishment of a theme. What I didn't expect, and what a pleasant surprise it was, especially after seeing him on the cover, is the lack of Batman in the first issue. I'm in it until the end, to be sure. Can't wait to see how this one plays out, but that's the way you do a first issue. Selling comics should be as easy as selling drugs. Hook 'em with the first one, and keep 'em paying until they can't pay no more! The ONLY thing that could improve this book, would be to print it on actual pulp paper stock!
