DC Direct Golden Age Mr. Terrific!

One of the cool thing about DC Direct focusing their attention on Superbat is that it forces those among us with talent to get creative.  Tired of waiting for DC Direct to complete the Golden Age JSA
roster, Hawaii's own TalonSoulBender has fashioned his own.  And I must say that he definitely nailed it.  Take a gander at this incredible custom and dream about what might have been...

CriticalMess meets American Hotrod!

A dark blue sedan with a bat head in the front and a big scalloped fin: features that have been integral parts of Batmobile designs for over 60 years.  This design, with slight fluctuations (red pin stripes, scalloped fenders) appeared in comic books and newspaper strips for 10 years, until the Batmobile was hit with a bazooka (“Holy Ordinance, Batman!”) and replaced with a new design in 1950.

Marvel Legends Style  Martian Manhunter

Marvel Legends invades the DCU with this incredible custom.  Take a look at what could have been if DCD and/or Mattel could get their shit together.  MisterSinister one of the internet's rising customizing stars hits one out of the park with this super sweet, hyper-articulated J'onn J'onzz. But don't just take our word for it...it must be seen to be believed.

Project of Infinite Proportions

Urbanmyth’s on a quest to create a DC Direct display with as many characters from Crisis on Infinite Earths as possible (and we all know that DC Direct isn’t going to help him in this quest at all). This time he starts with some nifty tweaks to some previously released characters and reactivates them in their COIE era costumes.

The First Ride Ever Pimped - The Original Batmobile!

The first car to ever carry the title was a convertible roadster, with a bat-shaped hood ornament as the only bat-motif. It made a few appearances and was never seen or heard from again, most likely due to embarrassment.

Another Dr T. Classic - The "Sprang" Batmobile!

“Batmobile Crash Leaves Batman An Invalid!” was the shocking headline in Gotham, after a group of two-bit gangsters take an RPG to the Batmobile. Batman survives with a broken leg, and spends his recuperation time designing a new car “ten years ahead of anything else on wheels!”.

DCUC Captain America
One fine sunny day I was thinking about how awesome Brubaker and Epting's run on Captain America was, and that I wanted to have that version of Cap on my shelves. A massive dislike of the Marvel Legends standard buck, and the subsequent realisation that my collection was heavily skewed towards DC figures, meant that something had to be done. Ponder...

Garl Rathbone
Well, my inspiration for making this guy was fairly simple really. He had long black hair and four arms...'nuff said. lol Seriously though, that was pretty much it. I wasn't familiar with him at all. I had never seen a whole lot of male GL's with long hair and I kinda' wanted to test my custom making skills on his four arms...could I do it and make it look good? I had faith, so I went for it.
