by Coffee Joe on October 03, 2010, 06:37:00 PM For the past several months, Critical Mess has been abuzz from the announcement of GOTHAM CITY 14 MILES, a book of essays on the 1966 BATMAN series edited and compiled by our very own Jim Beard. This tome is being published by the good folks at Sequart, who have made it their mission to pursue the scholarly study of comics and sequential art. Surely you've heard of them? by Coffee Joe on April 21, 2010, 06:23:00 PM That's right, ladies and gents! Jim Beard has done it once again!
Solicited this coming July and available this October, Gotham City 14 Miles offers an in-depth look at the classic camp series in a way never done before.
Gotham City 14 Miles (which takes its name from the roadsign right outside of the entrance to the Batcave in the series) is a collection of 14 essays essentially illustrating why the television show matters.
